Experience the stories come alive @Kathakar 2017 in Delhi & Mumbai!

Come and set free the wings of your imagination into the mystical land of Kathakar, where you get to fly over the land of five rivers, the Chume valley, kingdom of monkeys - Kishkinda and more!

Transport yourselves into the world of folktales and fantasies at the seventh edition of Kathakar - International Storytellers Festival, hosted at the IGNCA, New Delhi from 1 to 3 December 2017 and at the NCPA Mumbai on 9 and 10 December 2017. The festival will have morning sessions for school children and NGOs and evening for the public. The event is free with seating on first serve basis and appropriate for adults and children above the age of 7 years. Morning school sessions need to be pre-registered.

This year the festival brings together storytellers Bruno Leone from Italy, Joe Baele from Belgium and Peter Chand from UK. From India, we will have Nautanki by Choudhury Sajjan Singh and group from Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh shadow leather puppetry by Chaya Nataka Brundam, Vishal Bharadwaj, Mohit Chauhan, Prarthana Gahilote, Divya Pathak, Rachna Bisht and Shaguna Gahilote.

Organized by Nivesh and HHACH in collaboration with the IGNCA. Supported by Babaji Music, HHACH, BookASmile, Italian Cultural Centre and the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA).
